The Transition to PNC Mortgage

When did National City Mortgage become PNC Mortgage?

National City Mortgage became PNC Mortgage on November 7, 2009. You are still able to access your current mortgage information through your Mortgage Online account as well as make payments through Speedpay on the new website.

How do I access my loan information through Mortgage Online?

You can still access your mortgage information through the Mortgage Online system. Your login and password did not change.

How did the transition impact my mortgage with National City Mortgage?

When your mortgage account transitioned to PNC Mortgage, it retained the features of your National City account. Of course, interest rates and payments you may have will continue without change under the terms of your current loan agreement. There was no change to your loan number or your login and password for your Mortgage Online account. You are also able to make payments online or by mail the same way you always have.

Will I need a new coupon book to make a payment?

No. If you currently use a coupon when remitting a payment, please continue to do so until you receive a new coupon book at your regularly scheduled coupon month. Please make your checks payable to PNC Mortgage and continue to mail your payment to the same mailing address shown on your coupons.

Will my loan number change due to the PNC Mortgage transition?

No. Your loan number did not change.

Will I still be able to make payment online through Speedpay?

Yes. You are able to make your payments the same way you always have through the Speedpay service.

Will I have to set up another Electronic Funds Transfer payment for PNC Mortgage?

No. If you are currently set up on EFT and we are drafting funds from your bank account, this information will be converted automatically.

If I use Equity Accelerator will I need to make any changes?

No. If you already have Equity Accelerator set up you will not need to make any changes.

If I use online bill pay from my checking account will I need to make any changes?

Yes. If you currently pay your mortgage via online banking from a bank or financial institution, you should change the payee to PNC Mortgage from National City Mortgage.

Will there be any changes to the way I mail my payment in each month?

Please make your checks payable to PNC Mortgage and continue to mail your payment to the same mailing address shown on your coupons.

Will there be any impact on a pending mortgage application I have with National City Mortgage?

No. You will continue to work with the same Loan Officer and Loan Processor. This transition will not impact your loan application or closing date in any way.

When will I receive a new coupon book?

You will receive a new coupon book at your regularly scheduled coupon month. Until you receive your new coupon book you may continue to use your current one.

Why did PNC acquire National City?

National City’s attractive consumer, wealth management and corporate banking businesses nicely complement PNC’s existing franchise. The combination of PNC and National City is expected to build a powerful franchise that should help us do even more to create value for customers, employees, shareholders and communities.

Do I need to take any action?

No. National City Mortgage customers should continue to make payments the way they have and work with the same people at the same locations they have in the past – there will be no immediate changes.

What will the combined organization be named? Where will it be headquartered? Who will run it?

National City is now merged into The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. PNC will remain headquartered in Pittsburgh. PNC’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, James E. Rohr, remains in that role.
